How to Use
Using the cyto-brush & spatula is part of your routine gynecological exam The
outside of the cervix and the vagina are covered flat squamaus cells' and they
are scraped off with the spatula. And a soft, tiny bristle brush is used to
collect cells from the inside of the cervical canal called the endocervix. Then
these collected cells by spatula & brushes are then spread on a glass microscope
slide. Also, the canal of the cervix are can be visible or high in the canal
of he cervix and invisible to naked eye when using a speculum alone.
